With many schools conducting virtual class as the 2020-2021 school year starts, we know that teachers are looking for fresh ways to engage students remotely and make learning as engaging as possible. We’re pleased to announce that the creative team behind the World of the Weasel books is available for virtual classroom visits this fall! Authors Salvo Lavis and James Munn and illustrator Dave Leonard can read to students, discuss their creative processes, talk about what it takes to make a book, and chat about our books’ themes—including responsibility, diversity, exploration, and creativity.
Our current books, Once Upon a Weasel and Wild Wild Weasel, are perfect for kids in kindergarten through fourth grade. Younger kids love the books’ detailed illustrations, while more experienced readers can learn from advanced vocabulary words (“pandemonium” anyone?) and themes.
In previous years we’ve read to live classrooms. 2020 is different, and we’re adapting to distance communications just like you. We’re available over Zoom, Skype, WebEx, or whatever platform your classroom or library uses. Please contact us below for more information.
